Many thanks to Tom Wren of Wren Building Contractors for the supply and manufacturing of the Lecterns at the Hamble foreshore.

It was a tactical task with regard to the different operations required. Both plaques were constructed with nine individual pieces of Sapele Hardwood each, shifting the joints to butt strap each layer over the joints to minimise distortion.

Plaques then had to be CNC rostered, moulded and treated with various surface treatment paints, then hand spray chromed and details highlighted with coloured enamel paints.

I designed the metal supports to complement the newly installed bench seating which again was hand forged.
